In 1955 Arnold Ganahl, Florian Werner’s grandfather bought the old Hospiz Inn and started with extensive renovation works. Unfortunately the Arlberg Hospiz and church burned down to their foundations two years later. Arnold Ganahl had the “Hospiz” rebuilt and Christmas 1959 the hotel in St. Christoph in Austria opened its gates in renewed splendour.
The new Arlberg Hospiz Hotel was the most modern and beautiful hotel on the Arlberg massif of its time – all rooms were equipped with bathrooms, showers and toilets.
