In 1955 Arnold Ganahl, Florian Werner’s grandfather bought the old Hospiz Inn and started with extensive renovation works. Unfortunately the Arlberg Hospiz and church burned down to their foundations two years later. Arnold Ganahl had the “Hospiz” rebuilt and Christmas 1959 the hotel in St. Christoph in Austria opened its gates in renewed splendour.

The new Arlberg Hospiz Hotel was the most modern and beautiful hotel on the Arlberg of its time – all rooms were equipped with bathrooms, showers and toilets. With the rebuilding of the hotel in St. Christoph in Austria, Arnold Ganahl heralded in a new era. An age of luxury dawned on the Tyrolean Alps. In 1964 Adolf and Gerda Werner, Arnold Ganahl’s daughter, assumed the management of the Arlberg Hospiz Hotel St. Christoph in Austria. In 1993 son Florian Werner entered into the hotel business, which he has managed as executive director since 1997. With a lot enthusiasm he and his wife Ursula run the Arlberg Hospiz Hotel. The youngest family member is sunbeam Thaddaeus Christoph Tizian.
