Tobogganing on the Arlberg
Have yourself a fun winter family vacation in Austria and let your inner child ride that toboggan once more. Tobogganing is fun for the entire family. Toboggans and sleighs were used as means of transport by the mountain farmers. However today: toboggans and sleighs are used for pure leisure fun.
Tobogganing fun on the Arlberg
The wooden sleighs or lighter toboggans will bring you down to the valley. If you want to experience a tobogganing race at night on a flood lit tobogganing track, then a trip into the neighbouring St. Anton is recommended. On the more than 4 km long tobogganing track from the Gampenplateau to the St. Anton Valley 15 minutes of tobogganing fun is guaranteed.
Bobsleighs are modern toboggans made of PVC, which glide across the snow even faster. The arlberg1800 RESORT recommends after a toboggan ride the culinary highlights of the Austrian cuisine: with a dinner in St. Christoph.
With your ski pass you can use the gondola to get from Lech to Oberlech. After five minutes of walking you will arrive at the floodlit toboggan run, where you can go down the mountain until 10pm. You can lend a bobsleigh at the Oberlech cable car station for Euro 20,- of which you will receive Euro 15,- back after returning the bobsleigh.
